This FREE, 4-week investigative journey for passionate high school students, like YOU, who want to combat chief social injustice issues: racial discrimination, healthcare inequality, financial instability, and climate change. Our next Challenge launches on March 8, 2022 so don’t delay!

After an initial Challenge Kick-Off Call where we’ll announce the Challenge Question that we’ll be solving in the coming month, each research associate (that’s you!) will be given access to all the resources you’ll need to dive deeply into the issue at hand, explore all the angles, and ultimately craft your fact-based, research-backed, proposed solution. 

Over the course of four weeks, you will work to gather information, understand the nature of fact-based research, engage with thought leaders, and participate in community discourse to develop your own solution to existing social issues. As part of this community of problem-solvers, you will be given 1) digital access to our private Discord server, 2) an invitation to weekly LIVE* group video calls aimed at creating dialogue amongst change agents, and 3) a subject-specific mastermind group led by a hand-selected expert in the field we are exploring. These resources, along with your own personal research and findings, will provide you with the foundation needed to create your very own solution to a real social justice issue.

During the final week of the Think Tank, you’ll submit your findings for review by a panel of esteemed thought leaders and experts. From all submissions, three (3) finalists will pitch their solution to our panel of Think Tank Project experts, advocates, and alumni in a ‘TEDtalk-style’ presentation to their peers, their families, educators, change agents, and the entire Teen Think Tank Project community. This will be your time to SHINE! Present your socially-conscious solution in a way that will make people take notice and re-imagine how they view this societal problem. Get creative, be bold, think outside-of-the-box!

Finally, we will award one research associate the coveted prize for our 30-Day Think Tank Challenge: $1000 cash scholarship and tuition-free enrollment into a future Teen Think Tank Project research cohort

*We know our research associates are busy, so don’t worry if you ever can’t make it to a LIVE session.  They will be recorded and available to you on our Discord group.

The Teen Think Tank Project Story

Founded in 2020 to provide teens a voice in the world they will inherit, the Teen Think Tank Project’s mission is to develop today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders who will create a more positive and sustainable world for everyone. Our programs, intended for high-achieving high school students, provide the next generation of leaders, change-makers and advocates with the academic, emotional and practical skills needed to not only understand today’s societal issues, but to correct them.

We are a student-run policy institute that fosters critical thinking, research techniques, and problem-solving skills to develop policy frameworks for real-life issues and empower students to become future change makers. At the end of our twelve-week sessions, students will have expanded their academic skills, built a professional network of industry leaders, gained new perspectives on some of society’s toughest issues, have published research content to highlight on college applications and be exceptionally prepared to lead social justice initiatives in the future.
